Despite the intense treatments, hospital visits, and emotional toll, Hugh remained cheerful and strong, never complaining or losing hope. His parents, Frances and Ceri, kept their pain hidden, determined to show him only love and strength. Tragically, just three months after hearing he was in remission, the cancer came back and Hugh passed away shortly after.
In his memory, the Menai-Davis family now urges parents to trust their instincts and seek medical attention at the first sign of something unusual. They’ve also launched the charity It’s Never You, offering vital support to families with children battling cancer—a legacy of love born from unimaginable loss.
