Posted on February 5, 2025 By admin

Kamora Freeland, a 17-year-old from Staten Island, once dreamed of becoming a marine biologist to explore the ocean. However, her path took an unexpected turn when her mother encouraged her to take a flight lesson in 2021.

By age 15, Kamora had discovered a new passion for aviation, and on February 26, she became the youngest licensed pilot in New York State and one of the youngest in U.S. history, earning her pilot’s license before even getting her driver’s license. Now, Kamora soars through the skies at over 5,500 feet, piloting single-engine planes with up to 12 passengers. Her remarkable achievement highlights her determination and adaptability, proving that sometimes life’s detours can lead to extraordinary destinations.
