Music video director who worked with Alicia Silverstone and Cher passes away

Renowned music video director Marty Callner passed away at the age of 78 on March 17. He gained prominence for his work on Aerosmith’s music videos, which featured Alicia Silverstone. The actress portrayed the teenage protagonist in three of the band’s iconic videos: “Cryin’,” “Amazing,” and “Crazy.”

In addition to his work with Aerosmith, Callner collaborated on notable projects with Cher, including “If I Could Turn Back Time,” and with Stevie Nicks on “Stand Back.” His direction contributed to the success of numerous hit songs, such as Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again,” Cher’s “If I Could Turn Back Time,” Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” Heart’s “Alone,” Pat Benatar’s “We Belong,” and Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It.”
